General description
SPV 6065E5 HP is a surface protection tape suitable to protect high gloss metals during
mechanical processes such as deep drawing and profiling. This product consists of a special
tear resistant “High Performance” PO film coated with a pressure sensitive “easy peel”
acrylic-based adhesive.
Characteristics
This product protects the substrate during processing against scratches and impurities.
The tape features a high adhesion level and the adhesive has a good humidity resistance.
The ‘easy peel’ behaviour of the adhesives shows a low unwind and tension during lamination
process. It requires only a minimal peeling force to remove the tape easily from the protected
surface. This peeling force will decrease in function of the removal speed. The use of
SPV 6065E5HP in these processes gives the advantage of substantial reduction of lubricants
and cleaning handlings, resulting in lower operational costs. Due to its high tear resistance
(in all directions) and good elongation properties, the special “High Performance” PO film
makes the tape suitable to use in heavy deformation processes. Furthermore, this film shows
good oil-resistance compared to the usual PE-films. The transparency of this tape allows easy
identification and inspection of the protected substrates.
